How ORYNIA LTD handles personal data when you visit orynia.io or write to us.

Who we are
ORYNIA LTD is the controller of the personal data described here. Registered in England and Wales, company number 16915270. Registered office: 20 West Meadow Road, Braunton, England, EX33 1EB.

What we collect
- When you email us: your name, email address, anything you choose to include, and our replies.
- Analytics, only if you accept: the pages you view, the links and buttons you click, the site that sent you here and any campaign tags in the link, your approximate location (country or city, worked out from your IP address), and your device type, browser and screen size. A random ID tells one visit from another. Session recording is turned off.
- Hosting logs: our host keeps technical records of requests to the site (IP address, page requested, time, browser) to deliver it and protect it from abuse.
The site has no forms, accounts or payments. We do not ask for sensitive (special category) data; please don't send it.

- Consent, which you can withdraw at any time
- Hosting and security logs
- Legitimate interests: running the site and keeping it secure
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We use these providers, who process it on our behalf:
- Netlify, Inc. hosts the site (United States).
- PostHog provides analytics, using its EU cloud so the data is stored in the EU. Only if you accept.
- Microsoft 365, supplied through GoDaddy, stores the emails you send us.
Where a provider may process data outside the UK, it does so under the safeguards in its data processing terms, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK-US data bridge. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Emails: while the conversation is active, then deleted or reviewed within 24 months of our last contact.
- Analytics: no longer than 12 months.
- Hosting logs: kept by Netlify for a short period under its own retention settings.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to another provider. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email annie@orynia.io; there is no charge, and we will reply within one month.
Cookies and similar storage
We only use analytics if you accept. Everything else below is needed for the site to do what you ask, so it does not need consent.

Changing your choice
Use Cookie settings in the footer of any page. If you reject analytics after accepting, it stops straight away and its cookie and stored data are removed from your browser.

We will update this page if what we collect or who we use changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
